New Zealand has been rising in popularity as a tourist destination recently, and not just because of its COVID-19 free status. The country has much to offer by way of stunning views, beautiful tourist destinations, and lots of opportunities to have a good time.

There are many destinations in New Zealand that make for the perfect selfie, and it's evident in how girls pose for selfies when traveling here - they don't just rock their look, they rock the Instagram-worthy landscape too.

In this article, I'm listing some of the most Instagrammable spots in New Zealand.

Lake Tekapo

Lake Tekapo

Many people see Lake Tekapo as just a short stop for their ride from Christchurch to Queenstown, but it's a whole destination in itself.

One of the best things about the small town and the lake might be the starry night sky- you can't see this many stars in the sky at many places in the night, and that's if you forget many of the other things the place has to offer.

The sky here is so clear that the city sits within the Aoraki/Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve- a distinction given only to the clearest night skies in the world. We have to admit, it makes for some great nighttime photo ops.

If you time your visit right and get here between November and February, you'll be able to see the Lupins at full bloom all around the lake. These lupins in full bloom are one of the most picturesque ever, and they're definitely going to impress your followers.

Milford Sound

Milford Sound

Milford Sound has been termed as one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand, and rightfully so. Despite its size, it has a wide variety of mirror lakes, waterfalls, and mountain top views to offer, all in the same place!

A few kilometers off Milford, you'll find the Mirror Lakes. As you'll find when you get there, the name isn't an exaggeration. The lake is famous for reflecting a nearly exact image of the Earl Mountain Range from its surface, and the viewing platform near the lake is the perfect place to take those Instagram snaps.

The Stirling Falls in the area is even higher than the Niagara Falls. The best way to get to them is by kayak or cruise, and they're famous as the shooting site for Wolverine's jump off a cliff.

Not to mention the Key Summit, one of the most beautiful hiking trails you'll ever visit, with great views at the top.

Mount Maunganui

Mount Maunganui

The beaches at Mount Maunganui have ranked as one of the best in the world consistently, and that's partly because of their beauty.

There are walking tracks that take you to the top of the extinct volcano- right where the most beautiful and breathtaking views are. If the hike isn't your type, you can enjoy a relaxing day at the beach on top of the white sand.

There are lots of things to do on Mount Maunganui, from surfing lessons to going to look for wildlife, the most famous short walk in all of New Zealand, and much more. Why just pose and click when you can take pictures of yourself doing cool stuff and having an amazing time?

That Wanaka Tree

.

Wanaka

Wanaka is the dream destination for anyone looking to have a little adventure while getting their pictures for the gram. There are lots of things to do in Wanaka, including hiking, walking, and mountain biking.

You can even go for more adventurous activities like sky-diving, jet boating, and sailing. Taking a photo with the Wanaka Tree is a must-do when you're in the area, and you can even enjoy skiing in the snowy peaks and some great photo opportunities in the white snow when it's skiing season.

The Rippon vineyard is one of the oldest in the area, famous for its great wine and even greater lakeside views. The vineyard has been in the same family for five generations, and they offer a selection of great wine to the tourists.

Another picturesque destination in Wanaka is the lavender farms. Get ready for some beautiful purple trails, they're the ideal spot for a picnic, some tea, and a photo shoot. The farm offers great lavender tea and even lavender ice cream for you to try- not to mention the cute alpacas you can meet and pet. It's the perfect afternoon spent having light-hearted fun and a cute photoshoot.

Takapuna Beach

Takapuna Beach is one of the most Instagrammed destinations in New Zealand, and anyone can see why once they lay their eyes on it.

Sunsets in particular are beautiful over there, and a selection of small beachfront cafes and restaurants offers many perfect opportunities to get your photos taken in front of more than just the sand and the ocean.

As with many of the best tourist destinations around the world, New Zealand's hot travel destinations have both stunning views and fun activities to offer their visitors. If you choose to travel to this country, you won't be disappointed, and neither will your followers!
