1. Rhythm & Alps

Where? Cardrona Valley, near Wanaka and Queenstown

So you’re heading to New Zealand’s South Island for New Year's Eve? Think Big Mountains & beautiful lakes! 2. Queenstown Winter Festival

When? June 2016

Where? Queenstown

Snow junkie? This is the ultimate New Zealand Festival for you! Not too good on the slopes? Not to worry - Queenstown Winter Fest features a week long array of Events including Film Festivals, DJs, Bands, Hot Tubs, Parties, Fireworks - and of course, some of the best snowboarders / skiiers from across the globe to compete in the Winterfest games. Each year the opening of Queenstown’s Ski Season kicks off with a bang.

3. BW Summer Festival

Where? Gisborne

This is a 3 Day Camping Music Festival not to be missed with a huge line up year after year! 2014 saw the likes of Flume, Shapeshifter & Peking Duk. The festival is located on the beach side shores of Gisborne – New Zealand’s most easterly point and get this... the FIRST place in the WORLD to see the SUNRISE IN 2016! 4. Rhythm and Vines

Where? Waiohika Estate Vineyard, Gisborne

5. St Jerome’s Laneway Festival

When? Date to be confirmed, January 2016

Where? Auckland

One of our favourite NZ Music Festivals - Laneway Festival (also takes place in Australia) is kicking off 2016 with a bang! Previous artists have included Angus & Julia Stone, Banks and Belle & Sebastian.

6. Camp a Low Hum

When? Mid February 2016, dates to be confirmed.

Where? Wellington

7. Highlife NYE Experience

When? 31 December, 2015

Where? Stonyridge Winery, Waiheke Island, Auckland

Cost? $135 +

If you are in Auckland on New Year’s Eve head over to Waiheke Island and bring in the New Year with Fireworks, DJs and views at Stonyridge Winery. There is a ferry and buses running to and from Auckland city.

8. Northern Bass

When? 29 Dec – 31 December, 2015

Where? Mangawhai, north of Auckland

Set in the sub tropical pleasures of New Zealand’s northland one hour from Auckland – this festival celebrates all things bass – drum n bass, grime, hip hop, boom bap – you name it. The location has a sandy beach lagoon and a beach volleyball court. This year there is a huge line up featuring Shapeshifter, Ladi 6, Andy C and more.

9. Homegrown

When? 5 March, 2016

Where? Wellington

Probably one of New Zealand's longest running and popular music festivals with 7 stages and 57 Acts rocking the stages year after year. This is the ultimate festival to check local Kiwi music with Shapeshifter, Six60, Kora, Katchafire & many more amazing NZ artists headlining 2015. Tickets are about $109. Stay tuned for 2016!

10. Splore

When? 20th - 22nd February, 2016

Where? Tapapakanga Regional Park

This is a 3 Day festival favourited by NZ locals. It is a little more low key and takes place over 3 days on the shores of the Tapapakanga area. Located just 50 km south west of Auckland - this 3 day music festival respects the ancient land. 2015 played host to Mr Scruff, The Phoenix Foundation & Aussie favs The Cat Empire - stay tuned for the 2016 line up!
