1. St Jerome’s Laneway Festival



Last year’s laneway festivities brought the likes of Vance Joy, Lorde & The Jezabels to the stage. This underground festival gives laneway a new meaning and is becoming more and more popular each year – you will also find it in Australia’s major cities. Stay tuned for 2015 line up.


2. Camp a Low Hum

10 Feb – 12 Feb, 2014


A local’s secret. A ‘non’ festival. It breaks all of the rules – no queues. No security. No VIP areas... and the Acts are not released until you arrive. Tickets sell out fast so get onboard. Oh and did we mention it’s BYO Alcohol?


3. BW Summer Festival

27 Dec – 1 Jan, 2014


This is a 3 Day Camping Music Festival not to be missed and this year BW will welcome Flume, Shapeshifter & Peking Duk as headline acts! The festival is located on the beach side shores of Gisborne – New Zealand’s most easterly point and get this... the FIRST place in the WORLD to see the SUNRISE IN 2015! Other things to look forward to? Jelly Wrestling, Big Kids Playground, Beach Skinny Dip and too many funsies to note!


4. Northern Bass

30 Dec – 31 Dec

Mangawhai, north of Auckland

Set in the sub tropical pleasures of New Zealand’s northland – this festival celebrates all things bass – drum n bass, grime, hip hop, boom bap – you name it. The location has a sandy beach lagoon and a beach volleyball court. This year will host Andy C, Fat Freddy’s Drop, DJ Vadim, Concord Dawn & more.


5. Homegrown

7 March, 2014


Wellington is New Zealand’s music capital – so why not hit up a music festival with the rest of the locals? Six stages showcase local Kiwi talent and previous years have hosted Salmonella Dub, Fat Freddys Drop, Katchafire, Kora – and every legendary Kiwi band that has brought magic to our ears.


6. Rhythm & Alps

Cardrona Valley, near Wanaka

30 Dec – 31 Dec

So you’re heading to New Zealand’s South Island? Think Big Mountains & beautiful lakes! This is the only 2 day camping festival held in the South Island and is a must. Last year hosted Rudimental, High Contrast, Bastille and more. 2014 Line Up coming soon!


7. Rippon Open Air Festival

Set in the vineyard just outside of Wanaka this festival is the ultimate south island summer music festival. Last year hosted huge acts such as

Each year the opening of Queenstown’s Ski Season kicks off with a bang. The town with a view hosts a week long celebration with loads of music acts. Stay tuned for next year!


9. Rhythm and Vines

Waiohika Estate Vineyard, Gisborne

5 Stages, 70 Local & International Artists surrounded by vineyards and drumroll... the first place in the WORLD to see the SUNRISE in 2015! This year’s festivities will be headlined by British Act Bastille. You can buy combined tickets to this plus BW Festival to make the most of Gisborne’s New Year’s festivities.


10. Highlife NYE Experience


31 Dec, 2014

If you are in Auckland on New Year’s Eve head over to Waiheke Island and bring in the New Year with Fireworks and a range of Dance Acts at Stonyridge Winery.  There is a ferry running to and from Auckland all night long.
